Let Us Remember

Let us remember the fallen , the slain,
The dreams that moved beyond this world,
The angels' tears that fell like rain,
Upon the dusty flags, unfurled.

Let us remember not just today,
But everlasting in our hearts,
Not for the prayers the children pray,
But for the wisdom this imparts.

No enemy destroys this Name,
The fear and furor cannot kill,
The Spirit of America Lives On,
And Proud and Brave, It always will.
